Mission Kosovo
23.06.2011
We departed on Thursday afternoon becouse we wanted arrive on Friday morning and had time to see Pristina the capital citi of Kosovo . Finally we arrived at 16 hours. The journey was quite comfortable, Because the most part was on the motorways. Until the last few kilometers to the borders of Kosovo. The most often way of transport there are donkeys and horses with their carts , they realy slowed the transport. :)
Probably the worst one bad experience we had at the border of Serbia and Kosovo. 400 meters from the border we did not see a sign Stop Policie and it was a big problem. Police at the border was drank and they started to shout pay pay money, they had guns in their hands.... But than it was ok.. Everything went well and then we went to Pristina.

People from Kosovo had almost luxus cars, new Audi, Mercedes, BMW and Skoda cars, i did not expect this! Every 300 meters was the car wash. And big and new houses, vilas. Beautiful residence.
Upon arrival at the local university center we got complete program for the weekend, including a timetable. Friday we spent the rest time looking forward to Saturday morning.
After breakfast, we came together with the streetbalisty bus to the local streetball set. In the areal was also big swimming pool, so we enjoyed swimming before our performence.
I forgot my sports shoes, but luckily I recently bought Poweriser with Velcro fastenings, so I could easily appear in sandals: D
Performance was amazing and especially jumps over a car. Somebody told us, that if you hacked someone´s car, so it is worse than if you kill someone.

After the show we went to smaller party in the local club. For our surprise, we were returned to the room to take a long trousers instead of shorts. We did not expect these disco conditions. :) And they have , really luxuriously furnished club.
The second day we had the same program and other performances. In the morning we met with Rotrekl Karel from the Czech Embassy and he show us to the local shops with clothes and other attractions. Karel was very patient. He waited for us till we finished shoping and than he took us back. . Along the way he told us story about local history and problems and it was really interesting talking. True thanks for the escort and lecture!
We spend longer time with shoping, than we wanted so we had came ourself to the sport area for streetball and of course we losed the right way. . With fear, we asked local people about the place we wanted to come, but nobady understand us. Finally somebody understand the of the destination and this gay took his car and led us to follow him. We wanted to pay him some money for his patient, but he did not accept it. We were also nice suprised
After the show we packed up, said goodbye, took over the promotional materials of Kosovo and back to the CR. The way we took through Macedonia and visited some of the nocturnal city.
We arrived back and I look forward to the next mission abroad!
